Gift Planning

Dr. Susan Olson ’66 Makes Estate-Plan Gift to Help Rollins’ Quality Work Endure

A gift to Rollins College that costs me nothing in my lifetime? It’s all about thinking ahead.

After a couple of easy conversations with the folks in the Office of Gift Planning, we were able to determine how my gift can best benefit future Rollins students. The process went smoothly, and I’m pleased to have found an easy way to support my alma mater, the College I love.

In the 1960s Rollins helped me discover “who I am” and “what I can become”—paramount questions for any young person. A liberal arts education challenged me academically, and the education I received at Rollins served as the impetus for my lifelong pursuit of learning. I went on to be involved in many organizations in South Florida, inspiring and educating women to realize their power to transform their community and our world through philanthropy.

Rollins has a worthy heritage. It continually exceeds expectations and produces talented, well-educated young people who influence and shape the world. My decision to include the College in my estate plan is a way I can directly help Rollins’ good work to endure.
